The MES After School Program, K.I.D.S. Club, is a partnership that includes the school district, parents and the community in building the capacity of children to succeed academically and socially. The program will run from the end of the school day until 6:00pm each day school is in regular session.

The program provides homework assistance and tutoring; reinforcements for Reading, Writing, and Math skills; fun educational games that are curriculum related; and will involve students in enrichment activities, such as cooking, nutrition and art, that will develop and increase their self-confidence, self-esteem, and social skills.

The program is staffed with one Site Coordinator who will directly be in charge of site management, a literacy coach to make sure that the school curriculum is integrated in the program and trained program leaders to teach in each cluster of 20 students.

Currently the program is at capacity and a wait list has been established for future openings. Contact the office at 742-0340, for further information.
